Issues I need to take care of and how i'm going to take care of them:
I need to make final decision on who the actors are and what the gender of the main characters will be.
This will be solved by holding auditions and the crew will fill in any performing roles we can't get actors for.
Making sure all actors and actresses are on set.
I will make sure all actors are aware of when they are needed and on what days, this can be done by giving all actors call sheets.
Director taking to long to set up shot.
Manage the time taken for each shot so the footage is good but we are not wasting time.
Script changes.
When the final decisions have been made about character after auditions the script will be changed and finished.
Wrong shots being taken.
This can be solved by reshooting the shot.
Getting the best expressions out of the actors.
The actors can rehearse their lines in the script, and a few changes to dialog and actions.
Make sure we film so people aren't blocking the shots.
Positioning the camera well can solve this, or filming when there isn't many people at the shot location.
3 VFX in footage:
Gunshot (muzzle flare, gun smoke, blowback):
The pen tool is what I used to select the barrel of the gun on a duplicated layer, i then moved the copy of the barrel after shortening it to 1 frame i then added a motion blur to make it look like the top was moving back.
I made another layer and matched up the empty background of the footage with the footage of the gun giving the impression that the top of the gun had moved back revealing the inner barrel.
Finally I added in the muzzle flash, positioned it then reduced it to one frame moving it to happen as the gun fires.
blood (pools and splatters):
